The community you’ll be caring for:
• AdventHealth Winter Garden has delivered care to the West Orange County since 2015 and will be expanding to add a 3-floor, 80-bed inpatient tower opening summer 2022, becoming a full-service hospital to serve the community of Winter Garden.
• The AdventHealth Winter Garden tower expansion will include new ancillary and clinical spaces such as an expanded Surgery department, Inpatient Rehab, Inpatient Dialysis, Laboratory, and Imaging services.

The role you’ll contribute:
Performs echocardiography examinations by departmental policy in accordance to the standards outlined by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) and the American Society of Echocardiography. Ensures quality performance of echocardiography examinations adhering to the quality assurance/improvement program by departmental policy in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards. Performs at a high technical level, a variety of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on neonatal through gerontologic patients. Has the latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Assists physicians. Selects practical applications and technical factors. Is knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the department. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Performs additional duties as requested

o Performs comprehensive pediatric echocardiography (If applicable to facility)
o Performs comprehensive (physician driven) adult transesophageal echocardiography
o Participates in Quality assurance/improvement for IAC
• Manages time and equipment effectively and works as a team member to provide effective and efficient workflow

QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Graduate of a two-year Cardiovascular Ultrasound program
OR
• Registered in appropriate modality. (RDCS or RCS)
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Must have two years' experience in adult echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
