Position Highlights:

• The emphasis of the work will focus on pediatric general cardiology.
• The candidate will be responsible for pediatric general cardiology care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
• It is expected that the candidate will be responsible for some outreach clinics.
• Additional responsibilities will include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; clinical practice through UMPhysicians; and participating in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession.
• The candidate will be a part of a distinguished team at the Pediatric Heart Center and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
• Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty experience.
• Faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty.
• Additional responsibilities will be considered in non-invasive imaging if time, skill and interest are present.

About the Division:

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is dedicated to providing outstanding and innovative pediatric heart care, education, and research. The Heart Center at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital brings help and hope to pediatric heart patients. We are saving lives through innovation-- leading the nation in developing new treatment methods for kids of all ages. Over the last three years, the Heart Center has demonstrated some of the best success rates of pediatric heart programs in the country.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO and requires a graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and have completed a categorical Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training programs
• Board-certified and/or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology
• Licensed or ability to obtain the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
• Ability to acquire/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
• Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States

Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $240,000 - $362,541 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
