Indiana University Health seeks a Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist to expand the advanced heart care team based at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. This outstanding opportunity is an academic clinical position with an appointment to Indiana University School of Medicine's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
Position Details:
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm with on call/some weekend coverage
50% inpatient & 50% outpatient heart failure/transplant patient care
Perform Advanced Heart Failure procedures such as Hemodynamic catheterization, Endomyocardial Biopsies, CardioMems device placement, Cardiopulmonary Exercise testing, etc.
Contribute to outreach for the advanced heart failure program that serves a statewide population
Partake in the care of patients with Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiogenic Shock, Mechanical Circulatory Support (including ECMO), Cardiac Transplantation, Pulmonary Hypertension and Cardio-Oncology
Opportunity to grow multidisciplinary clinical programs, research, and programmatic funding
Qualifications:
Candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible
Fellowship training required
Experienced individual (ideally 4-5 years out of training) with a track record of leading
