Overview
You take care of patients.
We'll take care of everything else.
Including you.
You've spent years learning and training to provide outstanding care for your patients. That's why our model lets you focus on taking care of them. Our physicians have wrap-around practice and administrative support to do many of the things that aren't clinical, from answering emails to providing follow-up instructions, to helping secure social services for your patients.
We take care of you, too, with exceptional compensation packages, market-leading retirement contributions, gold-star health benefits, generous PTO, sabbatical opportunities, continuing medical education time and allowance, and leadership development through our in-house Northwest Permanente University.
Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified/ Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our growing medical group as a Hospitalist-Nocturnist in Vancouver, WA. In this role, you will consistently provide high quality, excellent, compassionate, and efficient care with sensitivity and understanding for hospitalized patients and their families, seeking to ensure that patients are satisfied with the information and explanations provided regarding their care.
The inpatient team achieves its purpose by providing acute care to medical patients, offering timely consultation for hospitalized patients on other services and providing admitting/consulting services for Emergency Department patients. We also work to facilitate the transition of care between inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, we play an active role in improving overall hospital quality and utilization through cooperation with physicians, hospital staff and administration.
We work collaboratively with our growing group of approximately 120 hospitalists across Southwest WA and OR. We take advantage of opportunities to add efficiency to our work life. We work closely with our RN care coordinators who facilitate smooth transitions from the inpatient to the outpatient setting. We use Epic as the electronic medical record system and our patients' inpatient and outpatient records are immediately available with a single-click of the mouse.
All applicants must have experience with digital technologies (examples include telehealth and/or digital health). You will need to demonstrate both flexibility and adaptability to incorporate these into your practice as we continue to evolve our virtual care model. A comfort level with concurrent documentation is also needed for this role. We use a combination of face-to-face care and the latest virtual modalities to provide evidence-based, psychiatric treatments, including primary care consults, crisis interventions and medication consultation. Our physicians will provide a combination of onsite and virtual care.

A recipient Healthgrades 50 Best Hospitals awards, Vohs and Lawrence awards, and 3-star ratings from Society of Thoracic Surgeons (to name just a few), we put innovative ideas forward while doing the right thing for patients. And we want your voice at our table.
Working for Northwest Permanente, you'll enjoy:
- 21% employer contribution to retirement programs, including pension (This is not a match; NWP contributes 21% of clinician earnings to retirement programs regardless of employee contribution)
- Up to 95% employer-paid, best-in-class health plans for employee and dependents
