The Associate Chief of Staff for Community Care serves as the senior leader of Community Care at VASDHS. This position demonstrates leadership in delivering quality, cost-effective care through partnerships with VHA and Community Care providers. Establishes and consistently works to improve relationships with Veterans, VA providers/staff and community providers. Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the situation and scope as it relates to Community Care services, strategies and goals.
Providing Health Care for Veterans: The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
