Job Description: ThedaCare, a non-profit health system in Northeast Wisconsin, is seeking a BE/BC Sports Medicine provider to join a reputable group of two primary care sports medicine physicians in a thriving practice within ThedaCare Orthopedics. This position will provide office based non-surgical musculoskeletal care. The physician will be based in Appleton, and there will also be shared outreach to our rural clinics, with providers serving one day a week in an outlying community. The ideal candidate will have an interest in providing ultrasound guided injections.
In addition to clinic, ThedaCare’s Sports Medicine physicians share coverage for high school sports sideline coverage and training rooms, as well as local events, such as the Fox Cities Marathon and USA Soccer tournaments.
ThedaCare has developed a three-tier system to provide comprehensive, coordinated care for patients with musculoskeletal complaints/diagnosis. Tier 1 includes primary care providers, emergency room physicians and athletic trainers. Tier II will include Family Practice/Sports Medicine physicians, Physiatrists, Rheumatology and all rehabilitation therapies. Tier III incorporates Orthopedic Surgeons. This three-tier system ensures seamless care for all patients, and is located on the campus of Appleton Medical Center.
The referral base is comprised of 200+ primary care providers, as well as several athletic trainers that cover local universities and high schools.

Additional Salary Information: Income Details: This is an employed position with a flexible two-year salary guarantee based on a four and a half day work week (36 patient contact hours). After the 2 year period of time, the physician will move to an incentive compensation plan. There is an option to go on the compensation plan after one year if the physician meets financial targets.
Relocation Paid: One house-hunting visit up to 7 days. Household moving expenses provided by ThedaCare's corporate mover.
Vacation: Time Off: 35 days, including vacation, CME, and holidays
CME: $4,500/year; 10 days/year for the first and second years
Call Coverage: 1:3 (triaged first by ThedaCare on Call; not often to go in)
