East Pierce Family Medicine Residency Program (EPFM) is seeking a full-time, AOBFP or ABFP certified physician with strong OB and academic skills needed for our residency program. EPFM is located in Puyallup, WA, part of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, minutes from Commencement Bay on Puget Sound, only an hour’s drive from the Cascade Mountains and two hours from the Olympic Rainforest and ocean beaches. MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital (MGSH) has constructed a state of the art patient care tower that opened in the spring of 2011; located 1 block from the residency clinic, MGSH houses all hospital-based rotations, including OB.
The EPFM Program is a dually accredited MD/DO Residency training program based on the Patient Centered Medical Home Model. EPFM is part of the University of Washington Family Practice Network, comprising some of the finest Family Medicine training programs in the country. In addition, MGSH is affiliated with Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine (PNWU-COM) and trains 20 3rd and 4th year PWNU-COM medical students within the community. The EPFM Faculty member will have the opportunity to participate in a high quality, full spectrum family medicine education program which will be community based, comprehensive and supportive in resident education.
Requirements: • Physician - board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment • Demonstrate experience and competency in teaching and patient care including obstetrics • Hospital call required • Three years of family practice experience is preferred • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
